The rapid development of internet technology is a threat as well as an opportunity for generation Y after completing their undergraduate studies. On the one hand, PTIK prepares graduates who are not only ready to fill the needs of ICT teachers in schools but also prepare experts in the field of ICT who are ready to compete in the industry. On the other hand, relevant to the importance of mastering the entrepreneurial spirit, PTIK wants to take on the role of an entrepreneurial incubator 4.0.
The PTIK study program encourages students to start businesses in fields that match their interests. Student business data collection conducted in mid-June 2019 showed that less than 2% of students engaged in business and were involved in business activities.
To encourage more students to run entrepreneurship, especially IT-based businesses, the ICT Study Program initiates a student activity unit that explores the potential of students and alumni in the IT field.
