ISSaD Research Group Held Web-Based GIS Workshop for Matesih Village

ISSaD research group finally able to create Web-Based GIS application in order to map the problem or potential in Matesih Village. The application is deployed online, so that the village administrator able to use the application anywhere and anytime.

As a follow-up to the development of the application, the Research group team consisting of lecturers of Information and Computer Engineering Education took the initiative to organize a Workshop on Using Web-Based GIS Applications to Map Potentials or Problems in Matesih Village in collaboration with the Matesih Village Government. The Matesih Village Government, represented by Mr. Andhi Vitalata as the village secretary and several village administrators welcomed the plan.

After going through a series of preparatory activities such as FGDs, several application revisions, and socialization planning, the main event, namely the Workshop with the theme of Training on the Use of Web-Based GIS Applications in Matesih Village Towards a Digital Village, finally took place on October 21, 2022 in Matesih Village. This workshop was attended by representatives of lecturers and students from UNS along with several representatives from the Matesih Village Management. The activity lasted for 2 hours and 30 minutes and was carried out with a demonstration practice method starting from 08.30 to 11.00.

As a representative of the Matesih village government, Mr. Andhi Vitalata expressed his appreciation to the community service implementation team while hoping that other service activities in Matesih will continue to be carried out to support the progress of Matesih Village towards a Digital Village.
