The annual event LKTI-A (Al-Quran Scientific Writing Competition) which was again held by the Islamic Development and Study Forum (FPPI) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) University of Lampung this year on 5-7 July 2019 at the University of Lampung, Bandar Lampung . As in the previous year, this year’s LKTI-A has a big theme that is not far from the values of the Koran, namely “Together with Al-Qura Achieve Achievements to Realize Dreams and Become Rabbani Muslims in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0”. This theme is present because of the concern for the future of the Indonesian nation which is increasingly worrying as seen from the values of the Koran which have faded from the youth’s soul even though Indonesia is predicted to experience a demographic bonus that will peak in 2030. So this LKTI-A present in order to help find solutions for this nation in the future.
This series of competitions began with the collection of abstracts which were participated by 54 teams from various universities and different regions. Furthermore, the 30 best abstracts were taken and given the opportunity to submit full papers to get 15 finalists consisting of well-known campuses such as UNILA, UI, UMM, UNS, UIN Sumut, USU, UII, UNNES, UNSRI, and UGM. Then the finalists presented their results in front of the jury and other finalists within 8 minutes and 7 minutes for a question and answer session with the jury.
The delegation from Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, Ginanjar Dwi Cahyanto, Mohamad Darril Hermawan and Khaolil Mudlafaar (unable to attend) arrived at the presentation stage by presenting a work entitled “Agri Millenial Smart Home (ALARM): A Smart Home Based on Agricultural Education through the Implementation of the Qur’an in Form Millennial Farmer Regeneration”. The background of this work is the decreasing number of residents at 2% per year who make a living as farmers. According to BPS, in 2017 it reached 35.9 million people to 35.7 million people in 2018. Even though the demographic bonus when it can be optimized properly will make its human resources quality so that Indonesia Gold 2045 can be achieved. Moreover, with the arrival of the Industrial revolution 4.0, it demands human resources who understand technology. ALARM comes with a smart home concept that is designed as an educational forum in educating the millennial generation to understand activities around agriculture more easily and practically. Agricultural education is designed by implementing Quranic values. The goal is to create space for millennials to fully understand the agricultural sector.
After the presentation process followed by an assessment by the jury, the UNS delegation won 2nd place with a total score of 1556.4. The team felt gratitude and joy to be proud of the name of the alma mater. It is hoped that by holding this event, the work that has been made by each finalist can be implemented in daily life so that it can be useful for the community, of course with the Al-Quran as the basis.
