SOLO–The Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Solo was launched in the Hall of Building A, FKIP UNS, Saturday (14/7/2012).
The Vice Dean 1 of FKIP UNS, Prof. Dr. rer nat Sajidan, said that the establishment of the PTIK Study Program aims to produce educators and education personnel in the field of information and computer engineering who are superior, have strong and intelligent characters, and are highly competitive and independent.
“The advantages of PTIK graduates are having professional competence in the field of information technology and having pedagogic competence as educators,” he said when met by reporters on the sidelines of the Curriculum Workshop and the Launching of the ICT Education Study Program.
To produce quality graduates, he said, FKIP UNS cooperates with the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Open Learning Center (Seamolec) to support student mastery in the field of technology. The lecture system is not only carried out face-to-face, but also uses a distance learning model (PJJ) based on informatics communication technology (ICT).
