Five students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Sebelas Maret University (FKIP UNS) Surakarta won bronze medals and special awards at the “Thailand Inventors Day and Bangkok International Intellectual Property Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition” (IPITEx 2019) event in Thailand on February 2-6 2019 ago.
The five students are Ragil Setiawan, Andreas Wegiq, Achasanul Fiqri, Tsara Devita and Fauzi Derita Saputri. Two of them are from the 2017 Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program, namely Ragil and Andreas. The five students who are members of the Pandawa LSP FKIP UNS Team created the Automatic Multifunction Laptop Bag (AMPLOP BAG), which is a multifunctional bag intended to prevent side effects from improper use of a laptop. Not only as a laptop case, this bag is designed to be used as a laptop table which provides convenience and comfort for its users. Users can adjust the table position as comfortably as possible so that their spine does not bend when using a laptop. In addition, this bag can expand the radiation wave of the laptop so that it does not affect the vital organs in the human body.
This bag offers a series of advantages that pamper its users. First. has a secondary battery as backup power that can be used as a charger. Second, it has a double security system, which uses letters, numbers and symbols to protect against illegal use of laptops by others. Then equipped with a GPS Tracking System to track the whereabouts of the bag in case of loss or theft. Fourth, it is waterproof (Water Proof) so users don’t have to worry when carrying it in the rain. One more thing that is interesting, this laptop bag uses Composite material which makes the load feel light but still strong and of good quality.
This innovative product earned them a bronze medal and a special award from the World Invention Intellectual Property Association (WIIPA) for the Necessary of Life category. This special award is intended for products that are unique and can be developed for everyday life. They managed to become one of the best innovators among 500 teams from more than 25 countries in the world.
